Qualitative & UX Research

Why the data is not enough

Your analytics show a drop-off on the pricing page. The number is real. The reason is invisible. Did the price scare people off? Did the plans confuse them? Did a missing answer send them to a competitor? The chart cannot say.

Research answers the why. We talk to the people behind the numbers and let them explain, in their own words, what the data only hints at.

Three things we run

Customer interviews. We ask why people chose you, what nearly stopped them, and how they describe the problem you solve. The exact words a buyer uses are worth more than any tagline your team invents. You put those words back into your marketing and watch conversion move, because the message finally sounds like the customer thinking out loud.

Usability sessions. We watch real people use your site or your product. We find where they get stuck, where they hesitate, where they give up. Your team went blind to this friction from looking at the same screens every day. A fresh user finds the broken step in thirty seconds.

Win/loss analysis. We ask why deals close and why they slip, straight from the people on both sides of the decision. The losses teach more than the wins. A buyer who picked a competitor will tell you exactly what tipped the choice, if you ask them well.

We keep the method honest

Bad research confirms what you already believed. Good research surprises you.

We use small numbers and real depth. Five honest conversations beat five hundred survey clicks, because a survey cannot ask the follow-up question that uncovers the real reason.

We do not lead the witness. A question phrased to get the answer you want gets you a useless answer. We ask open questions and let people talk.

We do not cherry-pick quotes. The point is to hear what is true, including the parts you would rather not hear. The uncomfortable finding is usually the valuable one.

What you get

A short report of themes, ranked by how often each came up and how much each matters.

Direct quotes and session recordings behind every theme. You watch a real person hit the wall, so the finding lands as fact, not opinion.

A recommendation tied to each theme. Research changes what you do, or the research was wasted. We turn every insight into a next step.

The thing you wish you had done first

This is the work people skip before the big decision and regret after.

A rebrand built on guesses. A redesign nobody tested. A repricing based on a hunch. A new market entered blind. Each one costs a quarter or more of building, and research up front would have flagged the problem in an afternoon.

Listening first is cheap. Rebuilding the wrong thing is expensive. The order matters.

How this connects

Research feeds positioning, because the words customers use become your messaging. Research feeds the journey map, because the moments people describe as confusing become the leaks you fix. Research feeds design, because the usability findings become the changes the team builds.

The audit shows you what is broken. Research tells you why, in the customer’s own voice.

The result

You stop guessing what your customers think and start knowing. The decisions that used to ride on opinion now ride on evidence. The expensive mistakes get caught before the build, not after the launch.

Thirty minutes. We'll walk you through how we'd approach your business and what we'd prioritize first. If it's the audit, we'll say so. If it's not, we'll say that too.
